So...LET'S TALK!!
In re-reading the lesson above by Drs Holmes/Barker, I am reminded how in years past up to present times, I have not always felt Intuition is a gift that is inherently within us all. It may have come to me easier than most, given my Mother was nearly completely deaf, however, given this so-called deficit, she was always greatly gifted with an Intuitive nature. At times it was spooky during my childhood years, but I came to realize as I became older, that all people have this potential gift, we just don’t believe it, and thus we don’t act as though it were so.
It was not 'till I entered The Science of Mind thinking, also known as New Thought, that I was able to put the pieces together. In my Mother's case, I thought she had a special gift, but then I also began to develop this gift, not that I believed it, however, she did. This tentative belief was greatly enhanced when I began reading the writings of Judge Thomas Troward (that many seemed not to understand) as well as other New Thought writers like Dr. Holmes and Barker. The Judge certainly was the most challenging to comprehend.
Something in me knew what the meaning of the teachings meant, even though for a time I could not explain why. Then one day I got it. If, as our lesson above states, “It is a Thing In Itself”, then what is This Thing, that I seem to have acquired? Then I recalled the first chapter of our S of M Textbook whose title is “The Thing Itself” and I realized that I had it: Intuition! And, I am convinced that is the Truth for every living person on the planet.
It is ever-present in all of us, and sometimes, like my Mother, we are forced to develop it to compensate for something else - like her hearing loss. Sometimes we're blessed to be forced to use it because we want to believe it, such as we do when we feel we have absolute faith. And yet - doubt lurks. We want to believe, yet we doubt until we allow Intuition to take over.
We are ALL Intuitives. We just have to:
Realize
Recognize
Act As So We Are...
Embody this thinking..and a wonderful world awaits you!!
