Viewing Eternity from A Higher Standpoint

A note from the director:

Please note that this is an updated post with the correct video. Apparently, the daffodils are not blooming in late September. :-) Pardon the accidental sending of the wrong video - though in my defense, it was a similar shirt! I hope to see many of you at the memorial on Sunday! <3 to you all! - Josh

“I BELIEVE in the eternality, the immortality, and the continuity of the individual soul, forever and ever expanding.”

Ernest S. Holmes, Quote 3 of 12 - What I Believe

It is human to grieve over the loss of dear ones. We love them and cannot help missing them, but a true realization of the immortality and continuity of the individual soul, will rob our grief of hopelessness. We shall realize that they are in God’s keeping and they are safe. We shall know that loving friends have met them, and that their life still flows on with the currents of eternity. We shall feel that we have not lost them, they have only gone before. So we shall view eternity from the higher standpoint, as a continuity of time, forever and ever expanding, until time, as we now experience it, shall be no more. Realizing this, we shall see in everyone a budding genius, a becoming God, an unfolding soul, an eternal destiny.

Ernest S. Holmes

So...LET'S TALK....!!

Closing Remarks

You don’t have to believe in Life after Death to practice Religious Science. But I’ll tell you one thing. Liberalize your concept of the hereafter to some extent, and you will find it much easier when you get there.

Life never changes quickly. The baby does not become an adult overnight. No person achieves great works quickly. You earn everything you get on this plane, and you must earn it on the next. That is one of the most spiritual statements that can be made. I am glad that the God who created me leaves me free to discover myself. I am free to experiment with life. I can grow, develop, expand, evolve here and in the endless continuity of the hereafter. That is the glory and the greatness of God.

Mountain[top]:

A mountain represents an exalted state of mind where the divine plan may be perceived and unfolded; a state of spiritual realization. The "high mountain" to which personality carries is in our spiritual uplift of consciousness of power over mortal thought in all its earthly avenues of expression. Going up the mountain to pray means elevating our thoughts and our aspirations to the spiritual viewpoint.
